Soren & Elie

Jeff and I had the opportunity to lead worship up at Spring Hill Michigan for a womens' conference in May. My mom came along to help care for (and giggle with) Soren for the weekend.

These gals were cracking me up!!! This is our little friend Elie with Soren. As you can tell here, Soren is a very animated baby. So much of our days are spent laughing!

Here we are at Grace yesterday... as you can see, our friend Betsy touched one of these photos up a bit... :)

Sorry it's been so long.... You know how "the busies" can take over your life!

I went back and read a lot of posts, and the one that stood out to me was Soren's first shots. For me, that's always been a picture of God allowing "bad things" in our lives. Soren doesn't understand, and won't for years, about the horrible diseases that were being prevented by those shots. All she knew was the pain of the needle and the seeming betrayal of a loving parent letting that happen to her. But as a result of her shots, something inside her fundamentally changed, making her stronger, helping her resist the viral attacks when they come.

In the same way.... Well, you're creative—you don't need me to spell it out!

Enjoy your little sweetie, and be sure to listen when she's teaching! ;)
